Government of Punjab in Breach of supreme court orders

Dr. Parvez Hassan, Chairman of the Mediation Committee, wrote the following letter to the Editor of Dawn. The letter hasn’t been published yet, but is a strong statement from the Supreme Court appointee on the behavior of the Government of Punjab in implementing the recommendations of the Mediation Committee. I attached the letter below:

“I have this week found that the Government of Punjab has started cutting trees on the Lahore Canal Road. This is being ostensibly done under the landmark judgment of the Supreme Court announced last week. The Supreme Court has, in this judgment, graciously accepted all the recommendations of the Mediation Committee that I had constituted on my appointment as Mediator by the Chief Justice of Pakistan. We had made 18 recommendations, all as a holistic package, and had suggested that all these be implemented, in letter and spirit, through a detailed and co-ordinated work
