It’s being suggested that the existing gas reserves at the largest gas reservoir in Pakistan, SUI, will no longer be able to produce gas beyond 2017.  This is only 7 years from now. With no renewable energy projects in site (which usually take 7 to 10 years), the energy future of Pakistan doesn’t look too promising.  Where should public policy and social discourse be focusing on to generate mass awareness about this critical subject area?
